Occupational Therapist – Home Health (Travel Contract)

Tampa, FL
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | Onsite / Field-Based
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct skilled home health visits, completing a minimum of 6 visits (points) per day for patients across a diverse caseload including med/surg, cardiac, ortho, post-surgical, neurological, and respiratory diagnoses
- Perform and document OASIS assessments in accordance with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance requirements
- Utilize provided technology (laptop, MiFi, portable printer) to complete documentation and scheduling within designated systems
- Self-schedule visits and hours based on the needs of the home care office
- Complete 1–2 weekend shifts per contract period as required
- Maintain compliance with all facility documentation, timesheet, and scheduling systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist license – Florida license or valid compact license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
- Home health experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required for home visits
- Must meet facility vaccination requirements (COVID-19 and flu) or have applicable exemption documentation on file
Preferred Experience / Skills
- OASIS training or prior OASIS completion experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting preferred
- Familiarity with skilled home care documentation and Medicare/Medicare Advantage billing processes
