Description

Job Title

Travel RN – Surgical ICU (Nights)

Location

Wichita, Kansas

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Surgical ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio (1:1 for high-acuity patients including post-CABG)
Care for trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
Manage chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips
Operate and monitor specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia devices, and ECMO
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity surgical ICU environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

TNCC certification
Prior travel nursing experience, particularly at large trauma facilities
