Travel Occupational Therapist

Location

Richmond, Virginia

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services within an inpatient rehabilitation unit, including stroke evaluation and treatment
Perform manual therapy for neurological re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity training, and neuromuscular re-education
Assist patients with self-care activities and administer functional electrical stimulation as indicated
Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
Operate specialized equipment including Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
May float to acute hospital areas when rehabilitation census is low

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
Inpatient rehabilitation experience required
Demonstrated experience with stroke evaluation and treatment
Proficiency with or ability to learn Meditech Expanse documentation system
Ability to adhere to AIDET communication standards and immediate service recovery practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience in a Joint Commission Stroke Certified facility
Familiarity with adaptive and assistive rehabilitation equipment such as Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
Experience working within a collaborative OT/PT team model
