Registered Nurse – LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care)

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical judgment in planning and delivering safe, high-quality patient care
• Manage and prioritize patient care assignments, delegating tasks commensurate with staff education and experience
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care delivery
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education and professional development
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care within a long-term acute care setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry and/or LTAC experience in a hospital setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated ventilator and tracheostomy (vent/trach) experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 to 5 years of overall clinical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience in an LTAC or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
