Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with orthopedic focus and Medical Surgical/Telemetry overflow
- Manage and administer cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone as required
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–1:7 while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
- Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and cardiac oversight
- Complete required pre-start modules prior to assignment begin date
Required Qualifications
- Active Alabama RN license required at time of submission (pending license may be considered)
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
- Permanent address must be at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced first-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Experience working in large healthcare facilities
