Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation (Travel Contract, Days)

Billings, Montana

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 36 Hours per Week | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | One weekend per month required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to inpatient rehabilitation patients ages 14 and older
  • Deliver individualized, intensive rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, trauma, and amputation
  • Utilize advanced rehabilitation equipment including Synaptic, TechnoBody, InMotion, Ekso Skeleton, and Real VR System, as well as traditional gym equipment
  • Maintain a patient caseload consistent with a 6:1 patient-to-therapist ratio within a 34-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support each patient's recovery journey and maximize functional outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Active Montana Occupational Therapist licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience treating diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, pelvic/hip/knee/ankle fractures, amputees, and post-laminectomy patients
  • Ability to work a day shift schedule including one weekend per month

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
  • 2 or more years of overall occupational therapy experience preferred
  • Team-oriented personality with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
