Job Title
Registered Nurse – Neonatal ICU (NICU)
Location
Brighton, MA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 12-hour shifts, 36-hour weekly rotation | Day/Night rotation with start times of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-house emergency nursing services to both full-term and premature infants in a NICU setting
- Deliver complex medical and surgical nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants
- Ensure competent, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care for patients and their families
- Perform thorough patient assessments and apply strong clinical and organizational skills
- Complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols
- Demonstrate charge nurse capabilities as needed
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU RN experience required
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program
- Experience with charge nurse responsibilities in a NICU environment
- Proficiency with clinical computer systems and electronic health records
