Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to surgical and trauma adult patients in a fast-paced 15-bed intensive care unit within a Level 1 facility
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition, implementing appropriate interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using Epic electronic health records
• Adhere to facility float policy, floating within scope of practice as needed across the facility
• Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Virginia license pending (license must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Prior experience in an ICU or critical care setting
• Epic electronic health records experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a surgical or trauma intensive care environment
• Familiarity with Level 1 trauma center workflows and protocols
