Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Contract | 15 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention throughout the labor process
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and assessment, interpreting electronic fetal monitor strips and responding to abnormal findings
• Manage and respond to obstetric emergencies including fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, postpartum hemorrhage, and placental complications
• Care for patients with high-risk conditions such as preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, and placental abruption
• Provide postpartum care and float to the postpartum unit as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Centricity and Meditech EHR systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS or ALS-OB certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech electronic health record systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
• Demonstrated ability to float to and support postpartum care units
