Registered Nurse – Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), Days
Location
Kansas City, Missouri
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Projected Start: July 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe, high-quality patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education and professional development
- Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care delivery
- Maintain shift accountability for patient outcomes within the LTAC/Telemetry setting
Required Qualifications
- Active Missouri RN license or multi-state RN license (Compact)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in LTAC or a related specialty
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience in a telemetry or long-term acute care environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
