Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, rotating holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:6 (occasional 1:7 with surge)
• Perform procedures including CBI, wound care, drain management (chest tubes, Jackson-Pratt, etc.), Foley insertion, and central line dressing changes
• Monitor telemetry and perform EKGs as needed
• Document patient care using Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounding, and personal connections in accordance with patient experience standards
• Float to units of the same level of care per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS certification
• IV certification required
• Medical Surgical clinical experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med-Surg environment
• Experience with self-scheduling in a hospital unit setting
