Travel Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehab
Location
Augusta, Georgia
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with 2 weekend shifts during the assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients in a 28-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, managing a caseload of 4–6 patients and treating an average of 3–4 patients per day
- Utilize specialized rehabilitation equipment including hi-low mats, NuStep, parallel bars, steps, weights, car simulator, Bioness L200 and H300, and the BITS interactive computer system
- Perform wound care procedures as required on the unit
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Meditech documentation system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapy techs to support patient recovery and mobility goals
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license (PT) in good standing
- Minimum of 1–2 years of physical therapy experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Ability to adhere to dress code requirements: black scrubs and closed-toe shoes
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with the Care Tool assessment instrument
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
- Background in wound care within a rehabilitation or acute care environment
