Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry / Neuro / Stroke unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV insertions and manage IV therapy as part of routine patient care
• Care for neurology and stroke patients, including NIHSS assessments
• Participate in floating, every-other-weekend scheduling, and holiday coverage as required within the contract
• Complete required pre-start modules prior to orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia or compact RN license in hand at time of submittal — no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records — no exceptions
• Must pass an EKG/telemetry written test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt, no remediation); test covers rhythm identification, interval measurements, sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with neurology and stroke patient populations
• Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry interpretation and IV insertion
• Comfort with patient ratios of 1:7
