Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location

Wichita, Kansas

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Administer medications, manage blood transfusions, and provide respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP and heated high-flow therapy
Deliver post-surgical care and monitor patient recovery progress
Collaborate with a team of RNs and PCTs across night shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Document all patient care activities accurately using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience (2 years preferred)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale certification
Demonstrated proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience in a leadership or relief charge nurse role
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
