Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Contract | Days | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for surgical patients including those undergoing general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head and neck surgery
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies in a specialized ENT surgical unit
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition throughout the shift in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license – must be in hand at time of submission
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated experience as a surgical RN with skills applicable to a medical/surgical setting
- Experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and/or laryngectomies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an ENT or head and neck surgical unit
- Experience with bariatric surgery patient populations
