Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Acute Care (Nights)

Glenwood Springs, CO

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts with Weekend Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and acute care patients utilizing the nursing process
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care using specialized knowledge of acute and chronic disease states
- Support an Acute Care/Observation Unit experiencing increased census related to orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and acute and chronic illnesses
- Provide Intermediate Care coverage in the CCU as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation, taking one call shift per two-week period as required based on staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
- Minimum of 2 years of Acute Care, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or similar RN experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Flu vaccination required (mandatory, no declinations accepted) from the current flu season, applicable October 1 through April 1
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least 3 years of RN Med-Surg experience preferred
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and intermediate care patient populations
