Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMC / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit setting
Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the care team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State RN license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in an intermediate care setting
