Registered Nurse – Operating Room / Surgery (Contract, 13 Weeks)

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a 22-OR suite environment supporting a wide range of surgical service lines including robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and GYN
Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout the perioperative process, ensuring patient safety and quality care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to support procedures such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spinal fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps
Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
Participate in on-call rotation and late shift coverage as required per unit scheduling guidelines
Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems and specialty instrumentation across multiple service lines

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
Neuro and/or spine experience required
Cardiac OR experience required for placement within the cardiac service line
Ability to meet on-call and late shift obligations per the 6-week scheduling cycle
Closed-toe, closed-heel, non-slip footwear required; scrubs are provided by the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience across multiple surgical service lines (orthopedics, neuro, general surgery, robotics)
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
Self-directed, flexible, and team-oriented work style with a positive attitude
