Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Neuro / Ortho / Peds)

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient nursing care on a 24-bed Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit serving patients of all ages (28 days and older)
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective care for trauma and post-operative Ortho/Neuro patients as well as general pediatric cases
- Utilize electronic health record systems (Paragon / Cerner) to document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately
- Float to other inpatient units as needed to support staffing and continuity of care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma facility offering specialty services including neurology, orthopedics, and pediatrics
- Adhere to facility dress code and all departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of adult Med/Surg nursing experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 3 weekends every 6 weeks
- Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of pediatric nursing experience
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Prior experience with Neuro and/or Orthopedic patient populations
