Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving a wide variety of patient types including general medical, gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgery patients
• Care for patients across specialty areas including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical populations
• Maintain a staffing ratio of 1:5–6 patients on nights, with potential flex to 8 patients when paired with LPN support
• Float to other Medical Surgical units based on unit needs, typically approximately once per week
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan RN License (pending license acceptable with confirmed ETA)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (pending acceptable with confirmed willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Availability required for the full first two weeks of assignment
• Willingness to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed
• Ability to work with a variety of clinical staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience caring for gastrointestinal, urological, or gynecological surgical patients
• Familiarity with ortho/neurovascular or cardio/pulmonary patient populations
