Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | 5x8-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM | On-Call and Weekend requirements apply

Key Responsibilities

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in an operating room/surgical setting.
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room or surgical nursing specialty.
• Ability to meet on-call, weekend, and floating requirements as assigned.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative environment.
