Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Care for neurology and stroke patient populations as part of routine unit assignments
• Perform IV starts and other required clinical skills in accordance with unit standards
• Adhere to scheduled shifts including weekdays, every other weekend, float assignments, and holidays within the contract period
• Complete required pre-start modules prior to orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or compact license in hand at time of submittal — no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records — no exceptions
• Demonstrated skills in IV insertion and telemetry interpretation; prior experience with neurology/stroke patients required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EKG testing inclusive of interval measurements, complex identification, and rhythm identification
• Ability to pass a 16-question telemetry competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to or at the start of orientation
