Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Location
Florence, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with standard nurse-to-patient ratios
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including participation in rapid response situations
- Administer medications including insulin and manage telemetry monitoring as needed
- Float within scope to like units or sister facilities to meet staffing needs
- Participate in on-call availability on a PRN low-census basis
- Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Demonstrated skills in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response
- Willingness to work every other weekend as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
- ACLS and/or NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with MS/Tele or combined Medical Surgical Telemetry units
