Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and goals in alignment with physician direction and established length of stay targets.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and coordination of continuing services.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions with flexibility in caseload coverage, ensuring the plan of care is communicated and progressed throughout the patient's length of stay.
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and fulfilling all continuing education obligations.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist licensure in the state of Arizona.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop clinically sound, goal-directed treatment plans.
• Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal regulatory guidelines governing documentation and patient care.
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling and infection control practices.
• Strong written communication skills for timely and accurate medical record documentation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care hospital setting.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning processes.
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring students in a clinical setting.
