Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location
Abilene, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/PCU/Stepdown unit setting
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding appropriately to changes in status
- Float to other floors or a secondary campus as needed based on staffing requirements
- Complete required orientation modules during the onboarding period
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submittal
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or equivalent service line
- Must reside 150 or more miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Altera electronic charting system
- Prior travel nursing experience
