Travel RN – Labor and Delivery
Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients with a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
- Assist with and support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and hysterectomy procedures
- Perform immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
- Utilize electronic fetal monitoring equipment and document care using Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR systems
- Operate Baxter infusion pumps and other unit-specific equipment in accordance with facility protocols
- Float to related units including MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed and approved
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- High-risk obstetric experience required
- Demonstrated competency in immediate newborn care
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Current BLS/ALS certification required
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in the Labor and Delivery setting
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink documentation systems
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
