Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Telemetry
Location
Des Moines, IA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit setting, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate safe transitions
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in a telemetry or medical surgical telemetry clinical setting
- Ability to interpret telemetry and cardiac monitor readings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Prior travel or contract nursing experience
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
