Registered Nurse – ICU / Float Pool

Location

Cartersville, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Every Other Weekend | No On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as part of a hospital float pool, rotating across multiple units as needed
  • Float throughout the facility including Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU
  • Maintain patient ratios as required per unit, up to 1:7 in Medical-Surgical settings
  • Adhere to unit-specific protocols and standards of care across all assigned departments
  • Work assigned major holidays that fall within the contract period per facility holiday policy
  • Complete all required orientation modules and compliance documentation within designated deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • Must be flexible with scheduling — no block schedule requests accepted
  • All requested time off (maximum 7 days per contract) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or post-start
  • Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed prior to start date; core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with all documents due the Tuesday prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
  • Experience across multiple acute care specialties or comfort floating between departments
  • Familiarity with Emergency Department, Telemetry, or PCU/Stepdown environments
