Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Location
Augusta, GA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics in a small, community-based Emergency Room setting
- Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio within a 14-bed unit
- Utilize Epic for electronic medical record documentation and Pyxis for medication management
- Perform wound care coordination virtually and manage patient care within the scope of the facility's capabilities
- Participate in patient transport coordination, as an on-site ambulance is available 24 hours per day for higher-acuity transfers
- Float to a nearby affiliated campus as needed and complete portions of orientation at that location
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR, and Spacelabs
- Ability to work every other weekend unless otherwise specified
- Must be available to work applicable major holidays falling within the assignment period per holiday policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a small or community-based Emergency Room environment
- Familiarity with virtual wound care coordination workflows
- Experience floating between multiple units or facilities
