Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Block Schedule | Weekends Required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in an operating room setting within a short-term acute care facility
  • Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical proceduresSupport surgical teams across multiple specialties including orthopedic, neurological, general surgery, robotic-assisted, and trauma cases
  • Adhere to department dress code and facility compliance standards throughout the duration of the assignment
  • Participate in block scheduling including required weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
  • May be expected to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room RN experience
  • Experience in Orthopedic, Neurological, General Surgery, XI/DV5 Robotic, and Trauma procedures
  • Ability to commit to a block schedule including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12-hour shifts
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience in an Operating Room setting
  • Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms, specifically XI/DV5 systems
  • Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center environment
