Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout an assigned shift
• Prescribe and implement nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and informed by patient and family input
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across applicable age groups
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff in accordance with their clinical competence and legal scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS, HS-BLS, or RQI BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS, HS-ACLS, or RQI ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia interpretation required during orientation
• EPIC EMR experience required; Cerner experience within the last 5 years also required
• Each position in work history must include the charting system used; if multiple EMR systems were used in a single role, dates clarifying usage of each system must be provided

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior acute care facility experience in a stepdown or PCU setting
• Previous experience as a direct employee or successful completion of a prior travel or contract assignment
