Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Location
Hilo, HI
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Rotating Shifts (Day or Night, TBD) | 36 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide med/surg level nursing care to patients 18 years of age and older
- Work rotating shifts of varying lengths across various days of the week; flexibility is required
- Utilize unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
- Float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units as needed
- Adhere to professional nursing attire standards including closed-toe shoes
- Complete department-specific training and orientation during the first week of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum 2 years of med/surg or higher level of care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work varied shift lengths and days with no guaranteed hours or shift preference
- Must be flexible and available for both day and night shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience or familiarity with Meditech EMR systems
