Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
- Design functional treatment programs that support effective patient progression toward discharge and return to community activities.
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
- Adhere to the state Physical Therapy Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements while maintaining licensure in good standing.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in the state of South Carolina.
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience.
- Experience in concussion and vestibular rehabilitation.
- Experience with workers' compensation cases.
- Ability to complete thorough clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Demonstrated experience across multiple outpatient orthopedic subspecialties.
- Experience mentoring or supervising Physical Therapy students in a clinical setting.
- Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities.
