Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Intermediate Care/PCU/Stepdown unit with a heavy cardiac and CVA patient population
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, and related vasoactive medications
• Monitor and assess patients with complex cardiac and neurological conditions, identifying and responding to changes in patient status
• Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings using electronic health record systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active, in-hand Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• Strong cardiac background with demonstrated experience managing cardiac and CVA patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system strongly preferred
• Familiarity with cardiac drip management protocols and stepdown-level monitoring
