Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to a primarily geriatric patient population in an acute care, general medicine setting
- Manage high-acuity patients within a regional referral center environment
- Complete 4 weekend shifts per month as part of the standard schedule
- Float to other general medicine floors within the hospital as needed
- Participate in emergency response protocols as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site during or after an emergency event or serving on a relief team
Required Qualifications
- Active Louisiana State Physical Therapy License (compact or LA license must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — AHA required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in specialty
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address (as shown on driver's license) — local travelers are not accepted
- Two manager or supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not acceptable; PDF format required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience welcomed; first-time travelers will be considered
- Experience working with geriatric populations in an acute or general medicine environment
