Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | 13–26 week contracts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients on a unit with a daily census of approximately 43
• Manage insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity as required for night shift travelers
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatient holding as needed
• Participate in storm, hurricane, and inclement weather response teams; may be required to report during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations
• Attend monthly unit team meetings, including additional night shift meetings held the Friday following each scheduled Wednesday meeting

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (required)
• Ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification
• Prior charge nurse experience
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication framework
