Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
  • Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations
  • Adapt clinical practice to the needs of each unit while maintaining patient safety and quality standards
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
  • Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation as required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
  • NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
  • Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted at time of submission; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
  • Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
  • Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
  • Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
  • BSN preferred
