Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location

Wichita, Kansas

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 1:3–4
Perform and assist with procedures including central line insertion, chest tubes, thoracic lavage, and intubations
Collaborate with charge nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary staff across mid and night shift teams
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
Demonstrate independent clinical judgment and strong communication skills in a fast-paced emergency care environment

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
Ability to work 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM shift in an onsite emergency department setting
Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills; independent and self-motivated work style

Preferred Experience / Skills

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
Intraosseous (IO) training and experience
Experience working in a travel nursing capacity within an emergency department
