Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive and focused assessments of patients presenting with emergent, urgent, or non-urgent conditions and triage using evidence-based protocols to determine acuity levels.
- Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for patients experiencing medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with facility policy and provider orders; operate and monitor medical equipment including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and ventilators.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, diagnostic testing, and disposition planning.
- Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols as required.
- Accurately and promptly document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record while maintaining strict adherence to infection control and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma or a valid compact RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- Strong critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and the ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress situations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift including standing, walking, and lifting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC and/or ENPC certification (preferred or required within a defined timeframe after hire).
- Prior experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or other high-acuity clinical settings.
- Demonstrated competency in trauma care, cardiac care, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
