Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and deliver care for Med/Surg Telemetry and orthopedic patients on a 48-bed unit
• Administer and manage IV medications including Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin (IV and subcutaneous)
• Provide wound care including drain management and wound VAC therapy; perform NGT/G-tube care and manage parenteral nutrition
• Manage central lines including PICC lines, hemodialysis catheters, and midlines; provide foley, nephrostomy, and suprapubic catheter care
• Deliver postoperative patient care and ostomy care; perform or assist with nasogastric tube insertion as needed
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds (Monday–Friday, day shift) and actively contribute to patient care excellence initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with remote telemetry monitoring and central line management
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems (Altera/Allscripts Sunrise experience a plus)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic nursing experience and knowledge of postoperative orthopedic patient care
• Experience within the HCA healthcare system or familiarity with HCA policies and workflows
• Comfort floating to like Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed per unit float policy
