Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Orthopedic Telemetry

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Orthopedic/Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Care for patients with orthopedic diagnoses including joint replacements and fractures
• Work alongside a CNA team (3 CNAs per shift) and under the supervision of a Charge Nurse available 24/7
• Monitor telemetry as needed; RNs are not required to independently read strips
• Utilize respiratory therapy equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) on an as-needed basis
• Float to other units as needed per staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
• Strong orthopedic nursing experience, specifically with total joint replacements (not fractures alone)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination series); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted promptly for review
• Candidate's driver's license address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an orthopedic or medical-surgical setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an acute care environment
• Experience working in high-acuity units with CNA support and structured charge nurse oversight
