Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatments in an outpatient setting, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Complete all medical record documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to state Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintain licensure in good standing, and actively pursue continuing education and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of California
• Prior outpatient physical therapy experience required — new graduates will not be considered
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive patient evaluations and developing evidence-based treatment plans
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific state Practice Acts and professional codes of conduct
• Ability to complete thorough and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and payer guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience participating in or supervising student clinical education programs
• Demonstrated involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives in a clinical setting
