Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department with 20 beds, 5 trauma bays, 10 observation beds, and a 6-bed Fast Track area
- Manage a diverse patient population including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and stroke patients requiring TPA administration
- Administer and monitor all common drips associated with a Level I Trauma environment
- Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips and telemetry
- Float to the observation unit and a freestanding emergency department at least once per week
- Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, and support staff including nurse aides, EMTs, and paramedics
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Recent experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- Ability to pass a facility-administered open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
- Compliance with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Experience in a Pediatric Certified or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
- Familiarity with trauma bay workflows and ICU-level patient management
