RN - ICU (Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit)
Location
Des Moines, IA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and care provided
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact state eligibility
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Prior experience in an ICU or critical care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with critically ill or complex patient populations in an acute care environment
- Familiarity with ICU-specific equipment, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
