Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Odessa, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) or 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM); 36/48 alternating or straight 48-hour schedules may be considered
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess patients with telemetry needs, responding appropriately to changes in condition
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of up to 6:1
- Float to other Med/Surg/Tele units as assigned by facility leadership
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Ability to start within 3–5 weeks of offer
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated on this unit
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Background in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing in a high-acuity environment
