Travel RN – Medical Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups across a 32-bed medical telemetry unit
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Demonstrate competence in drug titration and management of telemetry equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
- Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- NIHSS certification (may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
- Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1 (declinations not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Background caring for medical, medical telemetry, and respiratory patient populations
- Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced inpatient environment
