Contract | Nights (1900–0730) | 3×12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed flex unit serving both intermediate and general care populations
• Care for oncology patients requiring surgical intervention as well as benign surgical patients across specialties including ear/nose/throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Maintain a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio and participate in self-scheduling within established guidelines
• Float to areas of equal or lesser care as needed based on unit staffing requirements
• Fulfill holiday and weekend shift commitments per assignment schedule (3 out of 4 holidays; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a PCU, IMC, or stepdown unit setting
• Familiarity with surgical oncology or post-operative patient populations
