Registered Nurse – Operating Room (ENT & Eye Specialty)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (5x8 Hours, 07:00–16:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center specializing in ENT and ophthalmology procedures across 6 operating rooms
- Scrub and circulate for ENT surgical cases including endoscopic sinus procedures, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, stapedectomy, septoplasty, rhinoplasty, laryngectomy, radical neck dissection, tracheostomy, and tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy
- Perform scrub and circulating roles for pediatric ENT cases including myringotomy with tubes and pediatric tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy
- Respond to emergency situations including code response, malignant hyperthermia, latex allergy events, and fire safety protocols
- Adhere to professional standards including universal protocol (time-out procedure) and proper specimen handling and labeling
- Float to other area ambulatory surgery center locations within the Charlotte region as needed on a rare basis
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to scrub ENT surgical cases, including both adult and pediatric procedures
- Experience in an ambulatory OR (ASC) work setting
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in pediatric general OR and ophthalmology surgical cases including cataract extraction, corneal transplant, glaucoma surgery, vitrectomy, and eye trauma
- Familiarity with bronchoscopy and endoscopic procedures
- Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, infection control practices, and laser safety protocols
