Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of up to 6:1 or 7:1 across a 22-bed unitDocument and manage patient records using the MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Monitor patients utilizing telemetry equipment and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Float as a second nurse to Telemetry and the Emergency Department as needed
• Perform and assist with common procedures including surgical care, peritoneal dialysis exchanges, and psychiatric patient management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Ability to float to Telemetry and Emergency Department as a second nurse
• Flexibility to be scheduled according to unit needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Background in Medical Surgical specialty nursing
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and equipment
