Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a high-volume unit averaging 250–300 deliveries per month
• Manage and support patients across 12 labor rooms, 2 ORs, 2 PACU beds, 4 antepartum rooms, and 3 OB triage rooms
• Care for high-risk obstetric patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process
• Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia, or a compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with specialty experience within the last year
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid Social Security Number required at time of submittal
• One supervisory reference required at submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients
• Familiarity with NIH stroke scale and stroke education requirements
